Overall Personality: Confident- She has confidence enough to bring Shelke back to their side. She work for WRO just for her own reason to live. And to bring back her sister to the good side she would be confident enough. She was confident enough to pull her gun at Vincent.
Guilt-ridden- Not being able to save her sister back then when she first got the shot to save her. She had became guilt-ridden from the lack of trying to save her sister. She wouldn't let her guilt be the only thing to tied her down.
Intelligent- She is an intelligent woman who has ideals of her own. She works as an scientist for the World Regenesis Organization. She has high intelligence that works out well for her. She would have to work as hard as any other scientists.

History: Shalua appears in Episode 21 in Corel Prison, injured, starving, and in need of water. The player Turk attempts to help, but Shalua refuses the offer. She tells the player she is searching for her sister Shelke, who had been taken by the Turks to be a SOLDIER candidate. Shalua had joined with AVALANCHE because she thought it would help get her sister back, but she eventually found the organization too twisted under Fuhito to continue working for them. At some point under AVALANCHE, Shalua was seriously injured, but was saved by underground doctors. She briefly helps the player Turk, but then leaves. As she leaves, she promises to never forgive AVALANCHE.
It is revealed that Shalua is the one who made Barret's gun-arm, and that she still has her left eye.
Vincent Valentine first meets Shalua in Edge at the beginning of chapter three. She only reveals she works for the WRO and has hopes of finding her "reason to live". Her reason to live later is revealed to be her little sister Shelke, who had been taken by Shinra ten years prior. She continues her search despite many (including Reeve Tuesti) saying her search may be hopeless.
Eventually, Shalua finds Shelke, and is saddened to find her corrupted by Deepground, turned into a heartless soldier. The reunion is short-lived when Deepground attacks the WRO's headquarters. Azul the Cerulean fights his way into the medical center, and attempts to abduct Shelke due to Deepground deeming her as more of a liability than an asset. Guilt-ridden for not being able to save her sister sooner, Shalua sacrifices herself so that they could escape. Her act of heroism results in serious injuries and Shalua falls into a coma. She is later recovered by the WRO, but their scientists are unable to help her. With no other options, she is put into a capsule in Shera's medical ward, with hope that she would be able to be revived later.
Her spirit appears before Shelke when the latter is captured by Nero the Sable. Shalua asks her sister if it would be alright if she returned to the Planet. Their time together is short, as Shelke is rescued by Vincent. During the Battle of Midgar, the Shera takes a direct hit, and Shalua's capsule is lost and lands somewhere in the ruins of Midgar. She is last seen inside her capsule during the ending, not yet having returned to the Planet. It is unknown as to whether she survives or not.
She had come back to where she wanted to go trying to figure out where Shelke was. She needed to go back to Edge to see if Shelke was there. She just wanted her sister to be safe and protected even if she wasn't there. She didn't even know if Shelke be happy to see her older sister once again. She just wanted to see her sister happy, and would love to see her sister living her life as the best she could. Shalua would love to be back in Shelke's and her comrades' life even if she would have joined her comrades team.

Shalua had came to Edge just trying to find her sister once more. She didn't know her comrades would take that she did survive and was now awakened. She just had this lifetime that she needed to live her life the best she could. She hadn't realized that the Midgar had changed while she was asleep. She just would love to meet up with the others. She had missed so much things while she was asleep. Shalua hadn't known what happened to the others while she out cold. She was just trying to pick up the pieces of her life that she had missed.
What had happened to Shelke after I saved her and put her in Vincent's care? Shalua thought. She had just been thinking of her sister's safety since she had woken up again. She had wanted to talked to her sister after all was said and done. She just didn't realized that so much time had came and gone before she was even woken up. She had been trying to figure out what had happened in the time that from that time to now. Shalua just always loved her sister with all her heart.
She had been going to Edge since that was the first time she had meet her comrade. She had wondered if her sister was having fun with some peace and quiet. She had known that it would take time for her to rebuild a sister relationship with her. She just didn't mind rebuilding it and she had the patience to do so. She had remembered that Shelke slipped away from her a long time ago. She had found the reason for to be alive, and she not letting her reason to fade away for good.
The only reason for her life she had wanted to protected it even if it means being the protector of her reason and find out if the Avalanche was still in business. She was in Avalanche a long time ago before anyone else that was new to be in the Avalanche. She just wanted to figured out if she was even able to rejoin Avalanche. She had finally came to Edge, and found 7th Heaven. She had walked in, and wondered anyone was in here.
