Appearance
Hair: Cissnei's shoulder-length, auburn-colored hair is usually worn loose and cascades in gentle curls about her face and neck.

Overall Personality:
Cissnei's personality is a bit of a paradox at best - those who truly know her (and there's not a lot of people who can claim that they do) can vouch for her unexpectedly warm and caring side - but outwardly, and to most strangers, she's a cold and determined go-getter.
In truth, she is both of these things. Fire and ice. Passionate, caring - almost to the point of being motherly - and a great listener. If she likes you, she'll be loyal to you; sometimes even beyond what is expected. She is warm-hearted and kind, and she loves to help and be there for her friends.
But on the other hand, she is an introvert and keeps much of her own feelings to herself. If you don't know her, the first impression you might receive is that she is a cold-blooded Turk. Most people have a prejudiced view of this organization - and why shouldn't they? Cissnei definitely appears to fit right into the Turk's general description. But few really know that Cissnei has never had a choice in the matter of whether she wanted to be a Turk or not - Shinra made that choice for her. It's only natural that if one grows up in a place where there is no real warmth and love, that one would be more reliable on yourself than on others - and become perhaps a bit like an ice queen in the process.
Cissnei can be a bit bossy sometimes - she likes to take charge of a situation and her natural leadership abilities make others listen to her and appreciate her opinions. She is also very determined and driven to reach the goals that she sets for herself - but she will also always try her best to reach the goals that others set for her. Cissnei is always the one that keeps her companions 'in check' - she is the one who needs to be responsible and make sure that no one hurts themselves. It makes it hard for her to ... relax sometimes.
Cissnei's personality strengths include her determination, go-getter attitude, her warm heart and her ability to really listen to others. Her weaknesses are that she sometimes lets her heart make the decisions - and in a business like the Turks, that can be really dangerous. She's also a bit too reliant on herself, and finds it difficult to place her complete trust in others.
Background
Love Interest: Zack Fair - she had a bit of a crush on the SOLDIER, but it never developed into anything more than that.
Family: She has no known family. Shinra had found her in an orphanage, and her heritage is entirely unknown. However, she suspects that Shinra knows more than they let on.
Friends: Reno, Rude, Elena, Gun, Zack
Enemies: Anyone who is anti-Shinra
History:
Cissnei's exact birth date and birth place is unknown - the only thing that she can remember from before arriving at Shinra, was a woman with graying brown hair smiling down at her, and the warmth of the woman's embrace. Later on she learned that Shinra had taken her from an orphanage in the slums at the age of four. Her conclusion was that the woman in her memories must have been a caretaker at the orphanage, for as Shinra had gathered, Cissnei had arrived at the run-down little place at only a few months of age. She never knew her parents, just as she never learned where she'd really come from.
Shinra became her home. They cared for her, fed her, and educated her. But even though Shinra was all that Cissnei ever knew and had, she always felt that something was missing. This would of course be the warmth and love of a family, but she was unable to define this, as she had never experienced anything similar to compare it to.
She was raised with the soul intention of becoming a Turk - a person 'bred' specifically for the cold-hearted brutally that would be needed in such an organization. She had extensive training in physical defense and offense - more so than others who joined the organization at a later date. She was taught to see everyone as a potential enemy, and as such, she became a very introverted, cold and paranoid young girl. She had no friends - there was no one there of the same age as she, and certainly no one that took any special interest in Shinra's newest 'experiment'.
The result of all this was that Cissnei was the youngest person ever to become a part of the Turks. She was only fourteen at the time, but her natural leadership skills, as well as her extensive years of training had given her maturity beyond her 14 years. She was respected amongst her peers.
During her time in the Turks, her colleges gradually taught her that it wasn't necessary to see each person as an enemy or a target. This eventually resulted in Cissnei growing more relaxed, and her natural personality qualities showed through - underneath her cold and determined exterior she was still just a young girl. She was shy, warm-hearted and almost 'motherly' towards others. She grew into the 'glue' that kept her little 'family' of Turks together - they looked up to her, and respected her as a colleague, but also felt that she was someone who they could trust and go to with their problems. She finally made some friends - Reno, Rude, Gun - but, there would always be a slight 'wall' that each Turk builds around his/her heart. You don't let anyone get too close - because tomorrow they might not be there anymore.
Cissnei was allegedly the Turk whose mission it was to keep surveillance upon Zack Fair, a SOLDIER. She eventually meets him face to face during the start of The Genesis War, where he is cleaning Sector 8 of monsters. A Genesis Copy shows up, and Zack defeats it before it can beat Cissnei. As the copy lies before them, she tells Zack that she always wanted to have wings when she was little, for they symbolize freedom.
During the Genesis War, Cissnei encountered Zack a few times while she was on the job. They tried to catch Doctor Hollander - who was believed to be somehow involved with the Genesis Copies. Some time later, Cissnei is in Costa del Sol on 'vacation' when she is really keeping an eye on Zack who is 'coincidentally' spending his time off at the beach. It is here that she informs him that Lazard has left Shinra, and that the Turks suspect that he is funding Hollander' research and experiments.
A few years later - after the defeat of Genesis and Angeal, and the so-called 'Nibelheim Incident' - Cissnei is sent to pursue two 'research samples' that had escaped from the Nibelheim Mansion. Eventually, whilst her search in the forest, she encounters Zack and Cloud and realize that they were the escaping samples.
Cissnei didn't know what to do - a war between her duty as a Turk, and the feelings she had secretly harboured towards Zack raged inside her. After she initially attacked the black-haired SOLDIER, she notices in just how bad a state Cloud really was - and it was Shinra's fault. Cissnei decided to let them go, and she phones Tseng to let them know that she'd lost the targets. She gave Zack her motorcycle to help him escape. She returns to the Turks, though her heart was heavy.
Some time later, Cissnei again encounters Zack. This time in his home village of Gongaga. Here, she'd met Zack's parents - and she immediately knew what she'd been missing her whole life. The love they still had for their only son was evident on their faces - and the way they wanted to welcome her into the family with open arms left Cissnei questioning her loyalty to Shinra and the Turks.
She tells Zack that Angeal has been sighted, and that she really likes his parents - and when he asks if she'll keep them company for a bit longer, she gladly agrees. Cissnei gives him 10 minutes in which to leave, after which she returned to the Turks.
Later on, when Cissnei tried to find Zack to help him escape the Shinra army, she was too late - and he died. This left her with a lot of mixed feelings. Cissnei decided to leave the Turks for a while, and to sort through her feelings of doubt and grief.

A deep breath. In... out... Eyes closing. Focus. In.... out....
Three steps. That's all it would take. Three... and then... Well, she hadn't really thought past 'then'.
Cissnei opened her eyes, letting her gaze take in the run-down, crumbling little building. It seemed to huddle and crouch in on itself - as though it was afraid of the two tall, red-brick buildings that stood guard on either side of it. The front yard held what was once a semblance of a playground - but now it looked more like a dirt-garden.
No sounds came from inside. It was terribly quiet.
It's hard to believe that there were young children - even babies - being housed in there; but then again, Cissnei had seen much worse things in her day.
The area was clad in twilight - as was usual for the slums during this time of day - but it certainly contributed to the absolute desolation and ... sadness of the place. She allowed herself a soft sigh, and again tried to force herself into walking up to the door hanging skew upon its rusted hinges.
But she remained frozen upon the dusty curb.
What did she think she'd find here? Answers? A voice pointing her in the right direction? Telling her what she was supposed to do?
Cissnei bit down on her lower lip, shaking her head ever so slightly.
It was silly of me to come here.
Yet, she remained rooted to the spot. Unable to move on... unwilling to turn back.
It all started the day that she met Zack's parents. Their warm smiles were etched clearly into her memories – and with it came the great, inexplicable sense of loss that she had felt ever since that damned day.
"How can you loose something you never had?" she mumbled to herself, mulling over the thoughts and feelings that those two genuinely good people had evoked in her. Involuntarily, she had started to wonder about her own parents - were they good people like the Fairs? Where did they come from? Did they purposely leave her here...?
Why here?
Cissnei's eyes snapped up as suddenly their came a sound from the orphanage. The rusty door creaked on its hinges - and a moment later, a figure appeared in the doorway. But, before the redhead could even register a face, she had turned to flee; leaving her unanswered questions behind, and wondering if it was better not knowing, after all.
