Kairi's style of dress is usually seen as odd. She usually has the top button of her shirt undone. She tends to wear very short socks and lilac and white shoes over the top that have black laces. These laces tie around her ankles.

Overall Personality:
Kairi may initially come off as a little withdrawn because she's not quite as loud and carefree as she used to be, though this is only because her two closest friends seem to have the nasty habit of trying to bubble wrap her and keep her safe by leaving her behind whenever they go off on adventures. This has lead to her growing up much faster than they have and no longer is she quite as naive as she used to be, having obtained wisdom usually beyond someone of her age.
She's generally kind hearted and generous, she's warmly interested in others. She actually has a habit of picking up, detailed information about others, and turns this information into supportive judgments. She wants to like people, and seems to have a special skill at bringing out the best in others. She also seems to be extremely good at reading others, and understanding their point of view along with sympathizing with them.
Though she is extremely warm towards others she takes her responsibilities very seriously, and is very dependable, right now she's training to use her keyblade. She's tired of always being left behind and being the weak link in her circle of friends. Though she values security it's not necessarily her own. She values the security of others over her own and when she's determined to help someone she'll stick with it to the end. Sadly this may come off as rash and reckless at times since she is determined and courageous, when someone she cares about is in danger, she will often risk her own safety to help that person.
She's actually very cheerful, upbeat and is warm and energetic mostly, she also has a unique charm and charisma that seems to help her befriend others. Her honesty also seems to help because she's not afraid to speak her mind. She's rather tomboyish at times and isn't afraid to get her hands dirty if the situation calls for it. She seems to be hurt by indifference and doesn't understand unkindness and on top of that she's a very giving person, who gets a lot of her personal satisfaction from the happiness of others. Kairi is loyal and headstrong, and she can be rather stubborn sometimes and this leads to her sometimes having a hard time seeing or accepting a difficult truth about someone that she cares about.

Family: Grandmother
Friends: Riku, Sora and those she goes to school with

History:
Kairi was born in the place known as Radiant Garden though now it's called Hollow Bastion, where she lived with her grandmother.
It was during a brighter day that she was attacked and chased down by a group of unversed. She meets Aqua while she's being chased by the unversed though during this while Kairi is scared she touches Aquas keyblade performing the inheritance ceremony because she can't hold Aquas hand. It's during this that King Mickey comes to help Aqua and Kairi so that Aqua can get Kairi out of harms way.
After she's saved and Mickey disappears Kairi gives Aqua some flowers to say thank you. She doesn't know that she's a princess of heart and Aqua senses a pure light in Kairi's heart. In return for Kairi's flowers Aqua charms the necklace that Kairi wears, telling her that if she's ever in trouble her light will show her the way to another light, someone that'll keep her safe.
Kairi thanks Aqua and then returns to her grandmother, who calls her away and then Kairi asks her to tell her a story, the story of the light and the darkness, while Aqua believes their meeting may not have been a coincidence.
After Terra-Xehanort's defeat, Kairi is picking flowers in a large garden. Though she senses something and looks up to the sky, during this her necklace gives off a weak glow.
What happened after this is unknown, it's a blank spot in Kairi's memory and everything before it is also a blank spot.
A year later, Radiant Garden became shrouded by darkness and everyone was scattered across the universe including Kairi. It's during a meteor shower that she appears though she's just floating in the water near the beaches of Destiny Islands. She arrived there due to the protective spell that Aqua cast on her a year previous to her arrival. Her light lead her to Destiny Islands to Sora who would protect her.
She ended up living with the mayor of Destiny Islands, who adopted her and she starts to hang around with two boys. Sora and Riku. Growing close to them and caring about them both. The two playfully compete for her attention. She always supported the competitions though she never really knew that they were competing for her affection, she actually thought that it was just boys being boys.
Because of her lost memories, it sparks something in Riku and Sora, who then decided they wanted to explore and find out where Kairi was from. Thinking that she's from another world it ends up leading the three to build a raft in the hope that perhaps they can travel across the ocean to other worlds. Sadly before they can leave the islands are attacked by heartless. Sora finds Kairi in the secret place. It's at this point that when she looks at him she looks depressed, pale and ill. A gust of wind sweeps through a door that's at the back of the secret place and sends Kairi forwards towards Sora, he tries to catch her but she vanishes just before he can.
It's thought that perhaps Kairi's heart chose to hide within Sora, her heart was left behind while her body vanished to some other world. A way to protect herself from harm.
With her disappearance, Riku and Sora immediately set about trying to find her. Though they both have different ways of going about it, Riku however is manipulated in to doing things in a different and darker way to the way that Sora is doing it. He's actually hostile towards Sora because he's been tricked in to believing that Sora no longer cares about him or Kairi, instead believing that Sora only cares for his 'new friends' and that they're a replacement for himself and Kairi.
Kairi knows otherwise, since she's able to watch and experience the entirety of Sora's journey from inside Sora. She does try to communicate with him to let him know that she's there but he doesn't seem to realize it. So all her attempts are in vain.
Riku finds her body first, but she is in a comatose state, with a vacant, lifeless expression and a limp body. She'd lost her heart and because of her Princess of heart status, her body remained untouched by the darkness that usually produced a Heartless. With empty promises by Maleficent, Riku was convinced that he alone could locate Kairi's heart and restore her to health. When inside Monstro, Riku attempts to kidnap Pinocchio in hopes to use his heart to restore Kairi's. This act confuses Sora as he hasn't learned of her fate. His attempt fails and he is forced to retreat, though Sora is still very confused about what's going on Kairi on the other hand isn't. She knew but she couldn't find a way to tell Sora from her current position. If she could have, she would have told both Sora and Riku that she was okay. That she was right there with them at that moment but again it was hard to even do that now.
In Neverland, Sora finally encounters Kairi's body, along with a painful reunion with Riku; who is very defensive about her and ends up locking her in a room with Wendy so that Sora can't get to her, although his intentions were good Kairi from her stand point was a little saddened by how Sora and Riku fought. When Sora reaches the room below her cell, he extends his hand towards her, desperately hoping for a reaction as he is just now discovering the full lengths of Kairi's condition. Unconsciously, her hand twitches before going still again, much to Sora's relief, her body was reacting to her heart that resided within Sora. Riku then takes her away yet again, having new knowledge of where Kairi's heart might be. After the defeat of Captain Hook, Goofy ponders aloud whether or not Kairi had indeed lost her heart, but Donald, not wanting to upset Sora, promptly shushes him. Sora, however, appears to be in denial, pondering over his disbelief that he could fly and whether or not Kairi would believe him.
Eventually, Sora follows Riku and Maleficent to the world of Hollow Bastion where he too learns of Kairi's fate. However, Ansem, Seeker of Darkness, reveals that Kairi's heart has been resting within Sora all along, which explains all the visions he has had of her during his journey. Furthermore, Kairi is one of the Princesses of Heart, a maiden whose heart holds no darkness, and is needed to open the Final Keyhole. He then attempts to take her heart from Sora, but he defends himself to protect it and once again... Kairi can do nothing a all to help herself or Sora. All she can do is watch and wait to see what the outcome of this battle will be. The fate that will be chosen for her without her voiced choice.
Once the battle is over and Sora is proclaimed the victor he sacrifices himself using the Keyblade of People's Hearts to free Kairi's heart, and is turned into a Shadow Heartless. Awakened as her heart is finally restored, Kairi runs towards him, but as soon as her fingers touch him, he vanishes. Refusing to believe that Sora is gone, Kairi prepares to fight the Shadow Heartless that surround her, along with Donald and Goofy. Now it's just her, on her own save for Sora's two new friends.
Ansem however comes to attack Kairi and Riku's spirit stops him from attacking her, though she's grateful for it she hasn't got time to say anything and so she flees the area to try and escape. Devastated, she, along with Donald and Goofy, attempt to escape from Hollow Bastion. But just as they are cornered by the Heartless, she recognizes Sora's Heartless from the crowd and manages to bring Sora back from the darkness by embracing him and promising to protect him. The group escapes Hollow Bastion, revealed to be Kairi's home world, and finds shelter in Traverse Town where she could be protected by Leon and the others. Again, she needs to be protected and she realizes just how much of a pain being a Princess of heart really is. All she wants now is to go home and for things to return to the way they once were. Just her, Sora and Riku. Three friends. Growing up together again.
Sora finds Kairi in the underground water tunnel after talking with Leon. She states absentmindedly how much this place reminds her of their Secret Place. While lost in darkness, Sora witnessed one of Kairi's memories of her as a little girl wandering around the Hollow Bastion library with her grandmother. Sora mentions this and it is revealed that after her heart was restored, Kairi could remember certain things from her past.
Though Kairi wants to help rescue Riku and stop the darkness from emanating, Sora convinces her to stay put, not wanting her to get hurt and also joking that she would be in his way; he also acknowledges that, since their hearts were one, they will always be together. During this conversation, it was revealed that Kairi's voice brought him back from the darkness. Kairi gives in and gives Sora her lucky charm. Though she is a bit annoyed inwardly about being left behind and not being allowed to help save one of her friends. Always the helpless little girl, never any help.
Once the final battle is over Kairi is sent to a section of Destiny Islands, she's confused and feels alone. Though she spots Sora as he runs up to her, a little too late as the world is breaking apart, restoring all the previously destroyed worlds. Just before she is sent back, Sora promises that he will come back to her as soon as he finds Riku and King Mickey. She is then transported back to Destiny Islands without him, only able to watch the island regenerate around her with Sora's goodbye still fresh in her mind. After the worlds are restored, Kairi visits the Secret Place, looking at the pictures that she and Sora had drawn over the years. Once she sees the picture that Sora had drawn of him giving her a paopu fruit, she is moved to tears and adds to it; the picture now depicting herself and Sora exchanging two halves of a paopu fruit.
She waited. Waited and waited even longer for the two to come home but much to her dismay, they didn't come home. Neither of them came back to her and yet she still waited. Growing up and visiting the beach where the three once played everyday just too see if either of the two were there waiting for her. Kairi, now fifteen years old, lives her life normally on Destiny Islands. She attends school regularly along with her friends and has noticeably aged, having longer hair and more defined features. It can be assumed that she has spent most of her time focusing on her studies, thinking about the boys she's forgotten. Due to the long time that was left between her being with Riku and Sora. She's also become slightly more withdrawn because of Sora's absence, with wisdom beyond her years. She understands that both Riku and Sora have great destinies and duties to fulfill, but that still doesn't keep her from pondering taking action and searching for them on her own.
She misses Sora, but most of her memories of him have faded away because of Naminé's interfering with his memories. One day, while walking home from school, her heart is put into contact with a young boy named Roxas, later revealed to be Sora's Nobody. It appeared that Roxas was trying to contact Naminé, Kairi's Nobody, and ended up reaching her instead.
During this conversation, Roxas brings up Sora, and, when Kairi inquires about his name, Sora himself, despite being in stasis, somehow uses Roxas as a conduit to talk to her, chastises her for forgetting his name, and jokingly gives her a hint ("Starts with an 'S'!"). Soon afterwards, Kairi sends a letter in a bottle out to sea in hopes that it would reach Sora one day, and immediately remembers his name and everything else about him ("Starts with an 'S'... Right, Sora?").
One day after she sends out her letter, a red haired man by the name of Axel comes to Destiny Islands and tells Kairi to come with him. She refuses until Axel summons a group of Nobodies to try and make it seem like she has no other choice. A bark behind her gives her another option. She runs off into a nearby portal of Darkness with King Mickey's dog, Pluto, into Twilight Town to escape the red haired man and meets Hayner, Pence and Olette. She hits it off with them, immediately fitting in with the three and going as far as to explain for whom she is searching. To her joy, Hayner, Pence, and Olette know Sora, assuring her that she could stay in Twilight Town until his next visit.
Unfortunately, she is found again by Axel and forcibly taken by him, Olette, Hayner, and Pence's attempts doing nothing to prevent it. However Saïx finds Axel with Kairi and takes her to the World That Never Was as a prisoner, stating that she is the "fire that feeds Sora's anger". Kairi is devastated, because not only is she once more being used to manipulate her friends but she's also taken to thinking all hope is lost. Luckily for her, her Nobody, Naminé, frees her from her cell by using a corridor of darkness, she also tells Kairi to believe in herself.
Her escape is stopped by Saïx and two Berserker Nobodies he offers to take her to Sora but she doesn't believe him and refuses. When she refuses he prepares to send the nobodies to attack and destroy the two girls. It's at this point that another cloaked person comes to her aid and she finds out that it's Riku. He doesn't look the same though, since he's in the form of Xehanort's Heartless. She however is able to see through the appearance and is able to simply be happy to at least have reunited with one of her friends again. He hands her a keyblade and though she has no idea how to use it properly she's proficient enough to help him fend off the remaining Heartless. It is later that she's reunited with Sora.
The three along with Donald and Goofy face off with Luxord and Saïx to get to Xemnas. Kairi is a pillar of support during these battles more than an actual participant, though she'd have liked to actually help fight she didn't know how but watching has helped her understand combat a little better - as Luxord's battle leaves them caged by cards and Saïx uses a shockwave to force both her and Riku (using his body to shield her) behind a barrier so he can battle alone with Sora, Donald, and Goofy.
After Sora and Riku defeat Xemnas, Naminé appears and creates a portal, where Donald, Goofy and Mickey go through leaving Sora, Kairi and Riku. Kairi walks towards her and Sora follows Kairi. Kairi thanks her as Naminé tries to make Sora remember her, but Sora gets confused. Roxas comes out of him. Naminé and Roxas accept their fate together to live inside Sora and Kairi as they fuse with their original selves. Kairi walks into the portal, but when Sora and Riku follow the portal disappears, she is confused as to why they never followed. Again she's left wondering where they went and even if they'd come back. She didn't want to lose them both again.
Later after another battle the two boys go through a door opened by Kairi's letter and arrive at Destiny Islands shores as Kairi shouts for them. Sora excitedly swims towards her but Donald and Goofy jump at Sora first and Mickey jumps at Riku. They hug Sora, then Sora shows her the lucky charm and replies to Kairi "W-We're back!" while Kairi corrects him, saying "You're home." and extends her hand. As Sora takes her hand, he simultaneously returns the lucky charm to her. For a brief moment, Roxas and Naminé are shown smiling back at each other, just as Sora and Kairi are.
It's a year later when Kairi is sixteen that Sora and Riku take their mark of mastery exam. Though Sora fails and Riku passes Kairi still sitcks with Sora acting as a pillar for him if things ever get rough. She understands the mark of mastery is hard and she's also put in to training under Yen Sid, where as Riku and Sora taught themselves and never got any training Kairi has and under a great teacher. She's found that her skills lay in magic casting and speed rather than brute force.

Slowly eyes opened. Amethystine hues finally opened up after the darkness, after the horrible feeling of being torn away from her home. Above her all she saw were blue skies and clouds. Those gentle clouds that drifted along. Slowly she tried to move, nothing sudden just in case she'd hurt herself during her arrival to this place, luckily nothing was broken. Nothing hurt and she pushed herself up in to a sitting position.
Glancing around herself she blinked a few times.
This isn't home... Sora... Riku... Where are you?
Glancing around herself she blinked a few times.
This isn't home... Sora... Riku... Where are you?
Though she didn't panic. She knew that panic wasn't going to solve anything instead she slowly got to her feet, brushing herself down as she turned to look in all directions. If she was going to hunt those two down? Well she'd need to start somewhere and what better a place to start then the nearest village or town? It made sense to start in a populated area, since those two would probably also go there first... Well... Riku would... Sora on the other hand? He might stick around on the beach and play in the sand... Childishly. Though that thought made her smile.
Taking a deep breath she set off walking. Though that worry still plagued her if only because she could feel Sora somewhere here, she was still connected to him of course. So she knew he was at least all right, Riku on the other hand, she had no clue about but she couldn't give in to her worry and become a mess.
As she looked around she spotted a place in the distance, honestly it looked more like a school than just a regular building so maybe that would be the best place to start? Maybe some instructors or teachers could tell her where she was and she could feign amnesia or something having no real recollection of HOW she got here in the first place.
Off she went, letting her feet guide her and yet somehow, that feeling that Sora was somewhere close by grew. A gentle smile played on her face. Maybe he was waiting for her there...
