Overall Personality: Cloud attempts to come off as cool, calm, and collected. Some would observe that he’s cold and indifferent to most situations, and unfortunately, people. They would also recall his closed personality, his stony silence, and his utter confidence in the face of any danger.
However, it is all a lie.
Cloud’s greatest flaw is that he doesn’t even know himself. Constantly plagued with doubt and confusion, he overlooks even the brightest traits he possesses. He thinks he’s the ideal warrior: eager to fight, ready to protect everyone, and willing to take any burden upon his shoulders. Cloud may present himself in this manner, and has mastered the façade so well he even tricks himself.
He’s actually a nice person. He may not say much, and he may not be as charitable as others, but his kindness is so ingrained in him he hardly notices it anymore. He is a completely selfless person (arguably to a fault). Some may not see this quality about him, sense it’s displayed in the most subtle ways. Sometimes his kindness is a bit warped, so it’s hard to identify what Cloud is doing out of selfless love and what may be perceived as a selfish act (an example would be his constant absence from home). Nothing Cloud does is out of self-interest. It’s all about protecting his friends, protecting his world, and protecting his honor.

History: After Zack's traumatic death, Cloud's mind has glazed over the existence of Zack, and had fused that persona into one. Cloud believes whole-heartedly that he is a Ex-Soldier, and continues to tell everyone he is. He joins up witht he renegade group called AVALANCHE to bring down Shinra's mako reactors to give the planet just a little bit more time to survive. This simple job however, eventually unfolded a larger plot where Cloud must save the world and all of mankind from utter destruction.
As the story unfolds, it turns out that Sephiroth, the legendary war hero during the Wutai war, who was presumed to be dead was actually still alive. Later events would reveal that Sephiroth supposedly met his end in Nibelheim when he razed the town to ash after learning about his true past and losing his sanity in the process. However, it had turned out that when Cloud threw Sephiroth down into the reactor's core, Sephiroth had instead survived and had been floating through the lifestream in a comatose like state.
The mental clashes between Cloud and Sephiroth eventually causes and incident to where Cloud is thrown into the lifestream. The group eventually find Cloud again, but more of an empty shell of what he used to be. The mako poisoning had caused Cloud's mentality to suffer a great shock, and with the help of his longtime friend, Tifa, he eventually pulls through and comes back to aid his allies. However, with new found knowledge of who he is he doesn't know if he could really stop Sephiroth, but he goes on to try because no one else will.
After venturing towards the Northern Crater, and going into the planet to face off against Sephiroth with the planet at stake, Cloud and his allies defeat the villain. However, to their dismay they were too late. The meteor was going to crash into the planet regardless. It seemed like all hope was lost, but they had help from an unexpected ally. Aerith who had been killed by Sephiroth earlier int he party's journey, had become one with the lifestream and used its power to push back Meteor and discard it away from Gaia. With Sephiroth gone, and Midgar in shambles, the world was trying to reconstruct itself from the aftermath of Meteor. Cloud and his friends part ways to help out.
Years after the meteor crisis, a new city is built upon the ruins of Midgar called Edge. Tifa resides in this city and she has reopened the 7th heaven, and Cloud has a delivery service based in this city as well. However, on a regular delivery run, Cloud is ambushed by three unknown men wearing identical outfits and silver hair. Cloud fought them, but technically lost the fight. Afterwards he heads over to this clinic where he received a call from someone. After locking Reno out of the room and staring at Rude, Rufus Shinra is revealed to have survived the incident with Weapon.
Rufus talks to Cloud and another plot is unfolded. It turns out that those three men who had attacked him earlier were remnants of Sephiroth, and were in search of something for their Reunion. Cloud refuses to help Shinra and leaves, but not long after the trio pay a visit to Rufus. The item they are looking for turns out to be Jenova's Head. They need it to reunite with Sephiroth, and in the process of trying to get what they want, they abduct kids from Edge. They do this by using a ruse, the ruse is that they have the antidote to the Geostigma that has been plaguing a number of the people.
The trio take the abducted children to the lost city of the ancients where they perform a ritual which brainwash the kids. Cloud, upon hearing about the kids rushes over to the city only to be ambushed once again. Cloud fends himself against Kadaj, the leader, and fights a losing battle when Vincent Valentine comes to his aid. Vincent flees with Cloud and Marlene, and the two old allies have a talk with one another. Cloud was planning on going back alone and try to end this conflict, but Marlene convinces him to go back to Edge with her. Before he does, Cloud turns and asks Vincent had he ever tried to forgive himself for his sins. Vincent says he's never tried, but Cloud says he'll tell him how it goes.
After a few events that took place in Edge, Cloud faces off against Kadaj once more, but he has a new found aura about him. The last time they fought, Cloud lost because he was fighting without a sense of something to fight for, however this time was different. Cloud had found something to fight for and was pushing Kadaj to his limits. However, through unforseen events, Kadaj absorbs Jenova's head into his body and somehow becomes Sephiroth.
Once again the clash between the two warriors begins anew as they fight with the planet's life at stack once more. Cloud does his best to fend off against the revived Sephiroth, but it would seem that the one winged angel had the upper hand, until Cloud unleashes his newest Limit break. It was a new version of the Omnislash which would be dubbed into Omnislash V. five. Sephiroth disappears after Cloud's attack, and leaves behind an incapacitated Kadaj. Kadaj tries to attack Cloud, but falls over only to be caught in Cloud's arms.
Rain suddenly starts pouring, and Kadaj starts to dematerialize before Cloud's eyes. Afterward Cloud gets up and stares at his comrades in Cid's airship when he is suddenly shot from behind. Cloud stumbles to regain his composure and faces off against the last two of the trio resulting in an explosion. After a brief spiritual meeting with Aerith and hearing her forgive him, he wakes up in a pond of water, with kids all surrounding him. He takes a look around and realizes he's in aerith's ruined chapel, and the pond was located where her flowers used to be.
Cloud realizes that the water can cure the Geostigma, and it is sort of like a final gift from Aerith. With his sins forgiven, Cloud decides from then on to live for his friends and family, and to always protect them no matter what.

The wind was howling past Cloud's ear as he zoomed down the road on Fenrir. The dull roar of his muffler, and the gentle purring of his engine, these were the only sounds on the road when he was on a delivery job. It would seem very lonely and boring to most people, but to Cloud this wasn't so bad. He liked being on the open road, hence why he started his delivery company, but more so because he got to travel around and see the world more. Back then, he would visit places, but only briefly because he and the party were on a tight time table to save the planet.
Now, since there was no eminent danger to the planet, Cloud was able to visit places and actually unwind within the towns and cities he delivers to. On this particular trip, he was on his way over to the beach resort Costa Del Sol. The last time the spiky blond was here, he was trying to sneak onto a ship headed to a different continent. Of course, Sephiroth being on the same boat, and wrecking havoc wasn't part of the plan, but someone had to stop him.
However, back to the subject at hand. He was assigned with a package to deliver to the marine base. He didn't know what was in it, but the woman who had asked for his services told him, her son was assigned there. The lady seemed like a sweet little thing, so he couldn't possibly imagine the package being anything other than sweets or something. Cloud rode past a sign saying "Costa Del Sol - 20 miles", since it was so close, he figured he would floor it the rest of the way.
About five minutes later he had entered into the beach town, and he continued down the road all the way tot he marine base. Upon reaching the central building, Cloud stepped off his bike and kicked the crutch down to hold Fenrir up. He turned the keys to cut the engine, and pulled them out before placing them into his pocket. He turned around and rummaged in the back compartment for the package and found it packed neatly in a corner. Cloud picked it up gently and cradled it under his arm as he walked into the building.
He approached the private behind and asked the young lady, "Hi, I've got a delivery for a private Wedge." The young lady glanced back down at her monitor and started typing away rapidly. From what Cloud could tell she seemed to be deeply absorbed in her work when she suddenly spoke to him, "Yes, Private Watson is currently out on one of the battle ships cleaning the poop deck. You could leave the package here with me and i'll have it delivered to his room." Cloud nodded and replied, "Yeah, thats fine with me." He handed the package over to the young lady and waved a goodbye before walking away.
Once he was out of the building he walked over to Fenrir and leaned against it. He reached into his pocket and pulled out his cellphone. He was checking if he got any messages, while on the road he could never hear it ring so he usually always had a voicemail. Just as he suspected he had a couple voicemails actually. He dialed his number and placed the phone up to his ear to listen to the recordings.
The first one was from Barret, "Hey Foo! I'm coming in later today, so whatever it is you got planned you better drop because we got to celebrate a special little ladies birthday!" Cloud was a bit surprised at the news. He didn't remember anyone's birthday coming up, and he was sure if it was Marlene's birthday Tifa would've reminded him. He decided to listen to the second voicemail before he thought about it anymore.
The second one was from Yuffie, "Cloudie! I just got back from a big materia hunt, and I've got lots of little goodies to show you guys when i get to edge. By the way, did you pick anything up for her? You know she's counting on a really thoughtful gift from you right Cloudie? I mean we all know Tifa is closest to you out of all of us. Well anyways you better hurry up, I'll see you back at the bar!"
Cloud's eyes widened slightly when it finally hit him. Crap...it was Tifa's birthday and Cloud was a good distance away from Edge. He didn't know how he was going to make it in time. He quickly hopped onto Fenrir and kicked the clutch back in place. He put the keys in the ignition and revved the engine up before screeching off down the road. He had no idea what he was going to get Tifa, but he was pretty sure she would forgive him if he was late...maybe...
